Personal account

A multi-currency account for individuals: what it includes, what it costs to run, the limits that apply, and how it is protected.

Last updated 29 August 2026 — Draft for review. Product limits, availability and corridor detail to be confirmed by operations before publication.

What the account includes

  • Positions in the currencies you use, each reported separately with available, pending, held and restricted figures.
  • Payments to people and organisations in the markets we cover, with the fee, rate and arrival estimate shown before you confirm.
  • Currency conversion at a quoted rate valid for a displayed window.
  • Peer-to-peer transfers to another customer, and claimable transfers to someone who is not yet a customer.
  • A statement per currency, exportable, with a reference on every entry.
  • A device-bound sign-in with one active device at a time.

Who can open one

You must be at least eighteen years old, resident in a market we serve, and able to complete identity verification with a document accepted in your country of issue. One personal account is permitted per person. An account cannot be opened on behalf of someone else, and it cannot be used to run a business — a business account exists for that.

Certain residencies and nationalities are outside the markets we can serve, either because we have no licensed partner there or because a sanctions regime prohibits it. Where that applies, we say so during registration rather than after you have submitted documents.

Using the account day to day

Paying in. Register an account or card as a funding source, then create a pay-in. Some sources confirm instantly; others need two small verification amounts entered back into the product.

Sending. Every send ends with a review screen showing amount, fee, rate and total. Confirmation is explicit and nothing moves before it.

Converting. Request a quote, review the rate and fee, and accept it inside the validity window.

Records. Every action has a reference identifier. Quote it to support and we can find the exact record.

Limits and availability

Limits apply per payment, per day and per month, and depend on your verification level, the destination market and the method used. Where an instruction exceeds a limit, the product tells you which limit applied.

Availability is set by corridor. Some markets support same-day arrival; others settle on the next business day or later, and all are affected by local cut-off times and holidays. The estimate shown before you confirm reflects the corridor you selected.

What it costs

There is no charge to open or hold the account. Charges arise on specific actions — sending a payment, converting between currencies and, for some methods, paying in. The exact fee for the action you are about to take is always shown on the confirmation screen before you confirm.

We do not charge a fee that appears only after the event, and we do not apply an inactivity charge. The Pricing page describes the structure; the confirmation screen is authoritative for any specific payment.

How the account is protected

Sign-in combines your credentials with an approved device. A sign-in from a new device must be approved from the device you already trust, or completed through recovery with identity verification and a time-limited security hold.

Sensitive actions can require a step-up verification. Every security event is visible in the account, including approved devices and recent sign-ins. Amounts held with a licensed payment partner are held under that partner's regulatory regime in the relevant market; we describe positions and their availability and we make no guarantee about them.

Closing the account

You can close the account at any time once every payment in progress has settled and any position has been moved out. Ask support to close it and we will confirm what remains outstanding.

We may close an account with reasonable notice where the relationship falls outside our appetite, and immediately without notice where the law requires it or where continuing would expose you or us to loss. Records are retained after closure for the period financial crime law requires.
